Main Street Festival

Celebrate spring in a fun, festive, family atmosphere at Grand Prairie's Main Street Fest, which will be held at Market Square, 120 W. Main St., and surrounding areas. The festival, which is powered by Texas Trust Credit Union, will run Friday, April 25, from 5-11 p.m., and Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Main Street Fest will include carnival rides and foods, arts and crafts, a beer garden, a KIDZONE and plenty of fun for all ages. Grand Prairie's Farmers Market will be open for business and selling fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, meats, spices and more at Market Square. Entertainment will also include live music from Grammy award-winning artists and high-energy groups, spectacular BMX/Skate street shows, and other family-friendly performances on the Community Stage. Friday, April 25:

• 5-6 p.m. - BMX Show
• 6-7 p.m. - Brittnee Belt
• 7-8:30 p.m. - Clay Thrash
• 9:30-11 p.m. - Max Baca & Los Texmaniacs, with Rick Trevino, Augie Meyers and Flaco Jimenez

Saturday, April 26:

• 11:30 a.m.-Noon -  BMX Show
• Noon-1 p.m. - Soul Sacrifice
• 1-2 p.m. - Gypsy Voodoo
• 1-1:30 p.m. - BMX Show
• 2-3:30 p.m. - Double Ace
• 3-3:30 p.m. - BMX Show
• 3:30-4:30 p.m. - Shades of Gray
• 4:30-5 p.m. - BMX Show
• 5-6:50 - Vocal Trash
• 7:30-9 p.m. - Clay Thrash
• 9:30-11:30 p.m. - Roger Creager

Last year's Main Street Fest attracted more than 6,000 visitors. With great weather and the success from last year, the 2014 festival is projected to bring approximately 10,000 visitors.
